Monday

4.00-5.00pm 

S.T.E.A.M. Club

This month our project will be making our own Rube Goldberg machines, which are kinetic sculptures. Students will be building, testing and then filming their creations with a presentation to explain the science behind how they work. We are also working on Approximation and Rounding skills in Mathematics. 

This class is led by Laura.

 

4.00-5.00pm 

Creative Writing Group - 8-10 Year Olds

This group allows children the time to explore their writing in atmosphere that does not rush or pressurise their creative flow. Students are shown many different writing exercises and are taught the skills to be able to edit and reflect on their own written work.

This class is led by Beth.

 

5.00-6.00pm

11+ Exams Preparation Group - Year 5

We cover Comprehension skills, Creative Writing, Essay Writing, Mathematics Knowledge and Problem Solving as well Verbal Reasoning skills.

 

7.30-8.30pm

Pilates Class led by Pure Pilates London.

Whether you would like to improve your posture, alleviate back problems, work on your core strength or simply increase health and well-being Pure Pilates can help you to achieve your goals.

Tomato Seedlings: Montessori Nursery Class

Children aged 2-4 years old.
Please be quick to register interest as there are limited places.

This nursery session is facilitated by Mary Wales, who has over 25 years experience as a Montessori practitioner. We are not affiliated with any particular association. We are independent and have developed our own unique way of applying Maria Montessori's approach and we uphold her teaching methods.

Free Expression Art Club

This group is aimed at 5-10 year olds. It is a class that is meant to be fairly unstructured and free-flowing. We bring different materials on different weeks and show children images of varied artists' work.

Wednesday

10:00-11.15am

Interactive Storytelling (2-4y)

An introduction to communication stories for toddlers to enjoy an interactive storytelling activity in an inclusive, safe and fun environment. The aim of the sessions  are to encourage participation and sharing actions while promoting and developing listening, self confidence, language and communication skills within the narrative of the storytelling session. Parents and carers to accompany children.

£8 drop in, £6.50 when you book a block of 4.

This class is for 7-12 year olds. We provide pizza (and gluten/dairly free food options) for our Bookworms. Come and get cosy in our snug with an inspiring tale.  We demonstrate how to critique all the different elements of novel. This group is fantastic for either the avid reader or a child that struggles to find discipline and/or motivation to read by themselves.

Parent Lectures: A series of monthly talks.

This lecture series will cover a nutrition, neurobiology, how children can deal with bereavement, internet safety and revision skills.

A London based, award winning company specialising in cross curricular, kinaesthetic and holistic education and promoting the teaching, learning and communication of mathematics through movement.

Breakfast Book Club (6-11y)

Come and join us in the cosy corner to take time out to enjoy a story with a follow on discussion. Children will have the opportunity to naturally pick up the skills to analyse the text as well as broaden their vocabulary. We will provide warm drinks and breakfast platter. This is the perfect group for the avid reader as well as the child who needs that extra encouragement to pick up a book.

English Class for (11-14 y)

Small group sessions tailored for KS3 students, developing skills in both reading and writing that will help enhance your child's knowledge alongside the current National Curriculum.

Each week will have a different focus, taught in a fun and creative environment.

 

2.00-3.30pm

Nature Club (5-11y)

Deepen your knowledge and connection to our natural world. We will be learning about survival in the wild, how to taking cuttings from plants, examining crystals and fossils, dissecting flowers and making and using natural materials such as plant dyes and how to spin fleece into wool.

£15 per child, discount for siblings.


Sunday

9.00am-11.00am

The Greenhouse: Free Playgroup

The Greenhouse is a new stay and play for children (0-4y), accompanied by their parents and carers, older siblings welcome. Influenced by Françoise Dolto’s Maison Verte and A.S Neill’s Summerhill School, the group provides a space for children and adults to play and talk freely.  We also welcome young children and parents experiencing difficulties and/or with special needs. It is a space for Sunday morning conviviality and community.  Everyone is welcome!

Booking is not essential and you can come anytime between 9.00am and 11.00am.

Playgroup leaders, Catherine and Chris hold full DBS clearance checks and have many years of experience working with children and families.

Creative Workshops for Adults and Children

We have a range of workshops that allows participants to get in touch with their creative side, connecting with like-minded people in a relaxing and inspiring space.

Restorative Yoga, Pilates and Meditation Class led by Pure Pilates

This weekly therapeutic class provides deep rest for tired bodies and relaxation for busy minds. With a focus on slow, deep release poses and gentle stretching there is no sweeter way to end your week. This class is open to all levels, including those new to Pilates, Postnatal and those with injuries.
