Taking a holistic approach
Tomato Tutors was created to respond to the modern needs of parents and young people. We support and enhance learning whilst also understanding the needs of the families we work with. As well as academic tuition we host Forest School workshops, include Mindfulness meditation in our lessons and have a close team of coaches and specialists, whom can offer advice and help dependent on the student's specific needs.
We have a firm understanding of primary and secondary schools in Hertfordshire and London from over 14 years' teaching experience. We work alongside the current curriculum to support students to gain study skills and confidence in their learning. We have extensive knowledge in what is required to prepare students for public examinations, entrance tests and university applications. Our success rate is a testament to our unique teaching methods and our approach to learning.
What we offer
Within our centres we have specialists teaching Maths, English and Science from KS1 up to GCSE level. One to one tuition can be provided in a wide range of subjects by experienced tutors at all levels.
Throughout the year we also host various events for students and parents. These events include Forest School Fire Lighting workshops right the way through to GCSE advice evenings.
Our arts and nature-based workshops are suitable for all the family, including babies and toddlers. In Spring of 2017 we will be launching our weekly 'Parent and Child Forest School' session in a wonderful woodland setting in North London.
Why Tomato Tutors?
We like to think of our team as gardeners tending to crops. The tomato is a special fruit which requires diligent attention and care, with the potential for growth. To grow a perfect tomato you have to look after the whole crop. Our approach to learning and teaching, is caring after each individual student and their families. We believe restoring balance back into daily life and having good health, both physically and mentally, does wonders for academic and creative achievement.
